COGECO COMMUNICATIONS INC. NAMED TO CORPORATE KNIGHTS’ THE FUTURE 40 RESPONSIBLE CORPORATE LEADERS IN CANADA RANKING
Montréal, April 12, 2016 – Cogeco Communications Inc. (TSX: CCA) is pleased to announce that it has been named to Corporate Knights’ The Future 40 Responsible Corporate Leaders in Canada for a third year in a row. The company now holds the 23rd spot in the highly-regarded magazine’s ranking. Cogeco Communications was selected on the basis of its performance in relation to 12 indicators measuring social and environmental performance and corporate governance.
This ranking takes into consideration organizations with two billion dollars or less in revenue, or with less than 2,000 employees in Canada, in 2014. Cogeco Communications’ position in this ranking underscores its efforts in integrating the best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices into its initiatives. “We are honoured to be named for a third year in a row in this Corporate Knights’ list,” stated Elizabeth Alves, Vice President, Internal Audit and Risk Management of Cogeco Inc., who leads corporate social responsibility efforts at Cogeco Communications Inc. “We designed a CSR program aimed at operating responsibly and sustainably and being a model of good corporate citizenship.
