René Guimond joins the Cogeco Cable team
Montréal, September 15, 2008 — Louis Audet, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco
Cable (TSX: CCA), is pleased to announce the appointment of René Guimond as Vice President,
Development, New Media. In this capacity he will investigate the best opportunities for Cogeco
Cable’s growth in the new media field. He will act as an internal advisor, collaborating at various
levels within the company towards proposing new avenues to the Corporation’s Management
Committee. He will also work on special projects. Mr. Guimond commenced his new duties on
September 8, 2008.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Université de Sherbrooke, from 2005 to 2008
René held the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Radio-Television Inc.
and TQS Inc., where he demonstrated his spirit and leadership qualities. He was previously Vice
President and Chief Operating Officer of FINA’s 2005 Championships, headed TQS between 1998
and 2003, and was Vice President and General Manager at BCP and President and Co-founder of
Promo Marketing Canada inc. A sports enthusiast, he also worked for Club de baseball Les Expos
de Montréal inc., Montreal’s baseball Club, as Vice President, Marketing and Public Affairs.
